Rules of Banin Upland Game Farm

1. SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY. Just cannot be stressed enough not just for our sake but for the sake of all of us. The neighbors, the friends, the paramedics, the list is endless. NO incident with a gun is an accident. There is no way to say enough, guides have the final say on safety, the hunt ends on their say and money is forfeit.

2. Most of the Province of Ontario rules of hunting including the wearing of Blaze Orange are in force. Regular licensing requirements are in force. (ie: you must have an Outdoors card with a small game stamp or a Game Farm Hunting License if you are not a resident of Ontario) It is up to the individual hunters to ensure they comply. The rules that the Game Farm does not have to comply with are season and species. (ie: we have Ruffed Grouse on the Game Farm but you cannot shoot them out of season or without a licence) You may only shoot those birds that have been released on the Game Farm.

3. For out of Province or out of Country hunters you may purchase a Game Preserve Licence with proof of any hunting permit/licence/tag issued to you from your home jurisdiction. This may be purchased at any Ministry Permit issuing office. Gemmils General Store, in Clayton has them available or Kemptville Ministry Office may, phone ahead.

4. Hunting is booked at least one day in advance, no same day hunting. First come, first served. The sooner you book the sooner you know that you will be hunting.

5. Hunting areas are clearly defined you, your party are the only people who should be in that area during your hunt. NO incident with a gun is an accident.

6. Hunting areas are yours for the time of your hunt. Hunts are generally four hours but short days early and late in the season change things, common sense will prevail.

7. Hunts must consist of the purchase of a minimum of six birds. Additionally hunts must have at least 2 birds per gun in the field. This is to ensure you have game in the field and you will have ample chance at a shot at this game.

8. Common sense and Sportsmanship use them and these rules will not be needed.

9. If in doubt ask questions, I have no problem answering them.
